Scientific Pest Management (Wagga Wagga) is a locally based office of Scientific Pest Management (Australia/Pacific) Pty Ltd. The SPM territory extends across the country, with at least one office in every state of Australia.
 

Locally, SPM Wagga is operated by Jamie and Tanya Grentell, who have operated the business since January 2005. Prior to this, SPM Wagga was operated by Jamie's brother Ross Grentell.

In 2007, SPM Wagga moved from being a home-based business into offices at the Wagga Wagga Business Enterprise Centre building, providing the team with much needed office space and more room. In 2010, SPM Wagga again moved to even bigger and better premises, located at 55a Murray Street Wagga Wagga. SPM's new office provides even more office space, reception area, a training room, secure storage facilities and undercover parking space for company vehicles.

SPM Wagga's service area covers virtually the entire Riverina region, with Wagga Wagga as our main focus we also travel east to Tumut, west to Leeton and Narrandera, North to Gundagai and extending into Northern Victoria in the South. In these areas we carry out all domestic, commercial and industrial work, as well as being the sole contractor for Pest Management Services to the Australian Defence Force (ADF).

Our team are experts in their field and constantly aim to achieve the very best in our work and our service to our clients. Below is an outline of who is on the other end of the phone, and who you might find crawling out from under your house!



Jamie Grentell—Operations Manager
With over 15 years experience, Jamie is our most qualified technician. Jamie’s main responsibilities are managing all contract work, overseeing the operations component of the business and working directly with our domestic, commercial and industrial clients to ensure their needs are met.

When not working, he is a one eyed Carlton Supporter as well as a dedicated family man and can often be found either fishing, camping - somewhere. 
 

Tanya Grentell—General Manager
Tanya manages all business development, regularly meets with new clients and businesses as well as managing all the marketing, advertising, financial, system maintenance, staff development and any other business management of SPM Wagga.

Tanya additionally is also on the board of the Wagga Wagga Business Chamber and is actively involved in the Wagga business community including such organisations as Wagga Women in Business, Action Coach and Women in Pest Management, as well as networking organisations and attends regular workshops, to continually develop her personal and business development.

When not at work, Tanya prefers to be outdoors camping and/or travelling with Jamie and their kids.



Austin Gregor—Leading Technician
Austin is our main technician and is fully qualified and experienced in a wide range of situations. Austin is also responsible for the training and recruitment and has completed Cert IV in Training and Assessment to allow us to complete the majority of training 'in-house', along with Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety and Certificate IV in Frontline Management.

Austin is a one-eyed Ford man and is also a committee member in the Riverina Ford Owner's Club.





Brock Altmann - Trainee Technician
Brock joined the SPM team in October 2010 and comes from an automotive background. He is currently undertaking Certificate III in Asset Maintenance (Pest Management - Technical).

Brock has great customer service experience, is particularly skilled at helping clients understand the 'jargon' that is sometimes associated with termite management and other pest issues and has become a valued member of our team.

Kerri Lavers - Office Manager/ Client Liaison Officer
Kerri is the first point of contact for many of our clients and as such looks after all bookings, scheduling of technicians, accounts plus assists with advice and support.

Kerri came from a child care background. During her time at SPM Wagga she has successfully undertaken many training courses, to further her education and personal development including Business Administration, Human Resources, Bookkeeping, MYOB, Exterra Termite Baiting plus holds current first aid certificate. Kerri is always keen to extend her industry knowledge via direct training from technicians or industry suppliers.

Kerri is actively involved in numerous community organization including the Amie StClair Fundraising Committee, coordinates a team in the Cancer Council Relay for Life every year. But thoroughly enjoys fishing, boating and camping with her husband and kids.

Stephanie King — Admininstration
Stephanie joined the SPM Wagga team in August 2011 and brings administration and customer service experience, as well as a 'can do' attitude with her. Stephanie offers invaluable assistance and support to the team on a number of levels, plus assist clients in scheduling jobs and collating feedback to ensure that we are continually meeting our client’s needs.
