SPM Wagga would like to take a moment to advise all our clients, both new and existing, of our policies on quotations for termite treatments. Please be aware that this only applies to Termite Treatments.

SPM Wagga abides by the following policy points in relation to quotation of Termite Treatments:

* SPM Wagga does generally not offer 'free quotes' for termite treatments. This is because it is impossible to accurately quote to do a thorough and effective job without knowing the full circumstances of the situation or property. The only exception to this rule is in the case of pre-construction treatments where plans including measurements and all relevant information can be supplied before the work commences.

* As per the above point, it is impossible to offer a quote to treat termite activity without knowing:

• the full extent of the activity
• the extent and location of any existing damage
• whether any conducive conditions need to be taken into account before treatment
• access and other relevant site information
• what species of termites are involved
• the type of construction and the location of the building or site

The only way we can accurately determine the above information is to carry out a full termite inspection which is, unless otherwise arranged, a seperate cost to that of the treatment. This is clearly outlined on all treatment proposals and if there are any questions we are only too happy to assist.

* All termite management work, be it for existing or new construction situations, comes under the guise of Australian Standards, in particular AS3660.1 for new building work, and AS3660.2 for existing buildings and structures. SPM Wagga has copies of both standards available for our clients to read at any time - please contact us to arrange this.

* SPM Wagga keeps detailed records including copies of quotes, treatment arrangements and treatment certificates, so if there is any discrepancy or concern over any aspect of a treatment, we can resolve it with our clients in a transparent and mutually convenient manner.
